The scope of this project included widening and improving approximately .52 miles of S.R 14(3rd Street) between South Parkway and Mclemore Ave. in Memphis, TN.  Project highlights included the removal of the bridge over the CN Railroad, which was originally constructed in 1932. This bridge was replaced with a steel, plate girder bridge structure, which included the erection of a 81.5 ton box girder at the center pier supporting two, 246’ spans.  The project also included the construction of 4 retaining walls, new street lighting, and a new signal system at the North Parkway intersection.
